For the second consecutive year, 麻豆社 (麻豆社) has experienced an increase in overall fall enrollment, demonstrating sustained momentum and student confidence in the college鈥檚 academic quality, supportive environment, and engaging campus experience.
Fall 2025 total enrollment rose 7.7% compared to last year, reaching 1,966 students. The increase was primarily driven by strong student retention and continued growth in dual enrollment participation, marking the second straight year of overall enrollment gains following a 3.3% increase in fall 2024.
High school students earning college credit through 麻豆社鈥檚 dual enrollment program increased 14.9% from last year, bringing the total to 463 dual enrollment students. This growth highlights the college鈥檚 ongoing commitment to providing accessible pathways to higher education and strengthening partnerships with local and regional school districts.
In addition to academic success, on-campus housing occupancy reached 93%, reflecting increased student engagement and demand for the full residential experience.
The institution plans to continue increasing enrollment with the opportunities the consolidation with Georgia Southern University brings in the coming year. This strategic step unites the strengths of both institutions by expanding degree programs, enhancing the academic experience, and investing in robust support systems to empower every student鈥檚 success.
鈥淭he consolidation is progressing right on track, and I鈥檓 encouraged by the momentum we鈥檙e already seeing,鈥 said Interim President Kyle Marrero. 鈥淓nrollment growth this year is a clear sign of the confidence our students and families have in the unified institution we are building. The opportunities ahead are tremendous, and I鈥檓 excited for what this next chapter will mean for this community and for every student who chooses the East Georgia campuses of Georgia Southern.鈥
Full operational integration of the institutions is expected by the spring semester 2026, with planning and alignment efforts occurring throughout the 2025鈥26 academic year. The process for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) approval is underway. The teams have prepared and submitted the required documentation for review at the December SACSCOC Board of Trustees Annual Meeting.
